Template notice: this policy describes how the NEET Ranker application actually works today. It is a starting point, not a substitute for review by a qualified lawyer familiar with applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) before you publish or submit it for AdSense review.
1. Who we are
NEET Ranker is a free test-tracking dashboard built and operated under the NEELAXMI project. This policy explains what information the application collects when you create an account and log test results, and how that information is used.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: the email address and password you use to sign up, handled by Firebase Authentication.
- Test result data: the marks, subject breakdowns, and mistake-category tags you enter for each mock test, stored in your own Firestore document.
- Basic technical data: standard information any website receives, such as browser type and pages visited, which may be collected by our hosting provider and, once active, Google AdSense.
We do not ask for your name, phone number, school, or any government ID to use the dashboard.
3. How your information is stored
Your account and test results are stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore). Data is associated with your unique account ID, and Firestore security rules are configured so that only your signed-in account can read or write your own test results.
4. Cookies and advertising
This site is built to run Google AdSense. Once active, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings, and read more about how Google uses data in the Google Partner Sites policy. The dashboard app itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies beyond what Firebase Authentication requires to keep you signed in.
5. Third-party services
The app loads a small number of third-party libraries to function: Firebase (authentication and database), Chart.js (charts), Font Awesome and Google Fonts (icons and typography), and Shepherd.js (the onboarding tour). These are loaded from their respective content delivery networks and are subject to those providers' own privacy practices.
6. Your choices
You can edit or delete any test result at any time from your dashboard. To delete your account entirely, contact us using the details on our Contact page and we will remove your account data.
7. Children's privacy
NEET Ranker is intended for NEET aspirants, most of whom are in their final years of secondary school. The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under that age. If you believe a child has created an account without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the application changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
